TIMBER FRAMED SHOP
AND STORAGE PROJECT

Located in Snohomish County, WA, the scope of this project includes structural and drafting services. In this case, a timber framed loft was constructed and a few items needed to be revised to meet the county building code. Design analysis included evaluating the existing structure for code compliance and modifying as required. Easley Engineering and Design provided not only gravity analysis of the existing structure, but lateral seismic analysis as well.

Located near Union, Wa, this project consists of providing structural engineering and drafting services to design and detail a 40' wide x 40' long x 25' tall shop/storage building. Design and analysis will include gravity and lateral resisting systems which will incorporate wind and seismic design.
This project is especially interesting and unique in the fact that Easley Engineering and Design will provide not only the details/calculations for the building, but also for the foundations which will include retaining wall structures.
HEAVY TIMBER FRAMED FRONT PORCH

This project is going to deliver an outstanding front porch area that will be framed from heavy timbers! The utilization of heavy timber framing will have a robust look that will provide comfort and protection from the elements of the Puget Sound throughout the year.
The scope of work for this project includes performing all structural calculations for either rough sawn or glue-laminated timber posts, beams, and girders, connection design, and connection to the existing house structure. We at Easley Engineering and Design are particularly excited about this project because the look and feel of timber construction is unique to every project and we especially
